We’ve made it to the last week! Please read the End of the Year Procedures  before beginning your summer break! :)

 

Locker clean up - the custodians will not be cleaning lockers until Friday, so students will be able to keep anything needed for Innovation Hour on Thursday in their lockers.

 

Monday, May 22

·         Orion Field Trip to Springfield

·         7th Grade Regatta at Webster Rec, 8:30-12:30

 

Tuesday,  May 23

·         7th Grade Regatta at Webster Rec, 8:30-12:30

·         7th and 8th grade Pops Concert, Moss Field, 6:00pm

 

Wednesday, May 24

·         All School Six Flags Field Trip

o    Depart Hixson at 9:30am

o    Depart Six Flags at 4:30pm

o    Gate Duty Schedule

·         Students and teachers staying behind should report to the cafeteria when buses are loaded

o    Schedule for the Day (thanks, Mrs. Pettid!)

 

Thursday, May 25

Last day of student attendance!

·         8:35 - students report to 1^st hour for attendance

·         8:40 - students move to Innovation Hour groups

·         8:45-10:15 - Innovation Hour

o    This time can be used to complete projects or share learning with other group members

o    Please complete this Google sheet so we know your plan for IH and where you will be meeting – 5/25 IH Plans

·         10:15 - students report to 4th hour (please communicate to cross teamed students the team teacher they should report to)

·         10:20-12:00 - Team Activities

o    Teams, please complete this Google sheet so we know your plans and location – 5/25 Team Plans

o    Elective & SSD Teachers, please see this document for your team assignments; please help with student supervision during these activities – Elective & SSD Team Assignments, 5/25

·         12:00 - 3:15 Work in classrooms, check out with Kathy

·         3:30 - 7:30 That’s a Wrap! Party at Jill Right’s (please see evite sent on 5/15 for details)

Monday Memo - 5/15/17

Happy Mother’s Day!

 

Thanks to all who came and helped chaperone the 8th grade party Friday night. Special thanks to Stacy Camden, Liz Goosen, and Kelsey Tobey for working with the parents and students to plan and decorate for the party. Not sure if that was due to using up so much energy at Track Day, but we’ll take it! Thanks to Dana, Leslie, and Scott for organizing Track Day and to the Willow team teachers, Rob, and all those who helped with aerial photo. Thanks for everyone’s efforts in supervising students and running the field events. We couldn’t have asked for a better day from Mother Nature!

 

Friday is WGHS graduation. They will be using Hixson classrooms to meet and get ready to process down to Moss Field. At this time, we do not know what classrooms will be used, so all teachers on the first floor should prepare to have high school students in their room Friday evening. Please make sure valuables are secured.

 

Dr. Lee has been popping in as her schedule allows. She now has an WG email account, so feel free to use that to contact her with questions and/or set up a time to meet with her this summer.
